Passion Unlocks Prosperity

Prosperity

Prosperity is something most of us want but have a hard time defining.

When you think of prosperity, what comes to mind? A dream home, new cars, money in the bank? Anything you want you can have without thinking about how much it's going to cost you?

For others, it may be living life on your own terms. Having the where-with-all to take on projects and adventures that allow you to follow your passion. For these people, personal freedom ...having time to do what you want with your life ...is the greatest trophy of all.

You become the slave of what you desire

Let me give you a reality check about trophies: The more stuff you have the less time you have to enjoy the stuff. Burn this into you brain. The reason for this is two-fold.

1. If you focus on owning things, your life will become little more than doing whatever is necessary to acquire and maintain those things.

2. Physical trophies have a tendency to demand more time and money then the pleasure they give you in return.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have a few toys. In fact I have a lot of stuff. The main difference is that I have acquired a number of what I call "tools" that some might consider toys or trophies. Let me explain:

Prosperity for me was always being able to buy time and have the money and the tools necessary to explore what interested me. The single greatest accomplishment in my life was meeting my wife Gwen and finding true love. In fact, the most important thing in my life is my relationship with her.

So in my case, prosperity was being able to tell Gwen to quit her job as an on-air radio personality a few weeks after we got married. Being able to be with her 24/7 is at the top of my list of how I define a prosperous lifestyle. The fact that we've been able to take so many adventures over the past few years, together, making our dreams come true is I believe the by-product of what I consider to be my most important accomplishment: Finding true love.

What it comes down to is this:

You have to uncover the single most important thing for yourself. Call it your ultimate passion. You already know what mine is. The magical thing about finding your ultimate passion is that it will begin to define what's really important in your life. You see, a lifestyle of prosperity and abundance can only be truly defined from one simple question: What's the point of your life? What's your purpose for being alive?

If time, money and commitments were not a factor, what would your life look and feel like?

Maybe you already have an idea how your life would look and feel. Maybe you don't.
